I’m Susan Levy, and I’ve developed the Well-Fed Heart for one simple reason: to help families live heart-healthy lives. It all began in 1988, when we started publishing guides to heart-healthy living for medical centers across the country. Today I’m joined by a team of experts who contribute to menu planning and recipe testing (and tasting!) on your behalf.

Gone are the days when the terms heart-healthy and tasty couldn’t live in the same sentence together. As you’ll learn when you try our menus, these two concepts not only have married but are living happily—and healthfully— ever after. And no one is a slave to the kitchen! Ours are recipes you’ll be proud to serve family and friends: a feast for the eyes and taste buds.
